And the Hunger Date Saga continues @Robinsons Magnolia!
I can’t even remember when we last saw each other before this date. And so, to make up for the long postponed dates, we went to 2 restos and 1 movie :)
First, we tried Bizu Patisserie, which is in my wishlist. I really admire this place not just for the food but also the sophisticated look of the place. I like the shade of pink they used. It’s catchy. Just like what I told Ja, “I want my future safety hat to be of this color. Para madali akong makita sa site." And besides, it’s reeeallyyy cute :>
Anyhoo, we ordered the Afternoon Tea Set which costs P535 and my, this set should not be underestimated. It’s a good-for-two-set that includes Egg Sandwiches, Shrimp and Cucumber Canapes, Earl Grey Scones, Mini Opera Cakes, Macaron de Paris, Chocolate truffles, Clotted Cream, Dark Cherry Preserve and Hot Chocolate Drinks. Tiaras for me and Ja na lang ang kulang :) It may look like your stomach won’t get filled with this one but then again, looks can be deceiving. This is indeed a fancy treat! It’s delicious and delightful. Although we wished we could pick the flavor for our Macarons. I like the canapes because of the cucumber and shrimp together which is kind of unusual for me, the Mini Opera Cakes which taste like dark chocolate and coffee and the Dark Cherry Preserve which I constantly have a scoop every minute. XD
After Bizu, we watched the movie Divergent. Actually, we think the people near our seats were probably saying we’re a bit noisy because me and Ja are constantly discussing and exchanging theories on the plot of the movie. There were also a lot “Aww” and “Ha” moments so all in all, it really is a great and a must-watch movie. No wonder it’s being compared with The Hunger Games.
Next up and last is our dinner at Sumosam. This is not really what we had in mind. Our first choice is Yabu but the place is full and we have to wait for more than an hour for a table. And because we are craving for a good Katsudon, we decided to go to Sumosam. We had 2 orders of Katsudon which costs P228 each. After being served with such a large bowl, we kind of thought that we should have just order one for both of us. One bowl is a bit much for one person or maybe because we’re still full from Bizu? XD Although we still wonder about Yabu while feasting on our Katsudons, our cravings were satisfied with its great serving.
I had so much fun and I can say that this day is really unwinding. With all that I’ve been through for the past semester I deserve a treat like this and I can’t wait for our April Hunger Date. See you!
